Molly & Kyle

June 6, 2026 • Enniskerry, County Wicklow
1 Days To Go!

How It All Started (aka: The One with the Facebook DM)

Long before Molly and Kyle ever met, their lives were unknowingly running parallel.

They both spent their summers growing up just a mile down the road from one another in Skaneateles, NY—boating in the same lake, grabbing Doug's Fish Fry, and probably watching fireworks near each other on the 4th of July without realizing it. Their families were longtime friends, and Molly’s Uncle John and Kyle’s dad have been long-time buddies since the glory days. Kyle even worked for Uncle John at his first job out of college. With all that overlap, you’d think they would’ve met sooner.

But nope. Not once.

Years later, Kyle was preparing to leave his job and move to Nashville, TN, for a new opportunity. When he shared the news with his boss (yep, Uncle John), John casually mentioned, “You know, I have a niece in Nashville. She’s doing her OB/GYN residency down there—you should look her up!”

Now, Kyle had actually heard of Molly before through friends and family—though he didn’t know much about her. He simply referred to her as “pretty doctor lady,” but knew they lived states apart and figured the chances of them ever meeting in a meaningful way were slim. But hey, it was a lead.

So, like any millennial looking for a familiar face in a new city, Kyle sent a Facebook message. As an aspiring Southern gentleman, he wrapped it up with a very proper, ‘Thanks, Kyle’—the kind of sign-off you’d expect in a business email, not a Facebook DM. Molly still teases him about it to this day. Yet somehow, it worked and she responded.

They agreed to meet at East Nashville Beer Works, both assuming it was just a casual hangout between two relatively new Nashvillians with a shared family connection. After three straight hours of fun conversation, neither realized it was actually their first date.

Despite the undeniable chemistry, they didn’t start officially dating until about six months later. During that time, Kyle won over the most important critic in Molly’s life: her very particular (and not easily impressed) French bulldog, Ruby. When Ruby gave Kyle the stamp of approval, Molly started to think this guy might actually be something special.

From there, it was weekend adventures, spontaneous road trips, and a lot of laughter. And eventually… a proposal.

The Proposal (aka: The One Where Kyle Popped the Question)

If you know Molly, you know she’s a huge fan of the TV show Friends. So when it came time to propose, Kyle knew he had to deliver something worthy of Monica-level happy tears—and he did not disappoint.

Just two days after Molly graduated from her OB/GYN residency, Kyle secretly flew both of their families—and a bunch of their closest friends—into Nashville for the ultimate surprise engagement day.

It all started with a mysterious note delivered by her brother Andrew, titled:

“The One Where…”

The note told Molly to get ready for a scavenger hunt, with her mom as her co-pilot. Their friend Tucker chauffeured Molly and her mom to the different stops that day. The first stop: brunch at Hearts, a neighborhood favorite she and Kyle had visited many times.

Next, Tucker took Molly and her mom to East Nashville Beer Works—the very spot where she and Kyle had met for the first time (not-a-date). Waiting there to surprise her was Amanda, Molly’s long-time best friend since high school and college.

Then came a stop at Luke Bryan’s bar, where Kyle had officially asked Molly to be his girlfriend years earlier after they attended the CMA Awards. This time, her best friends from college were waiting to surprise her again.

Things only escalated from there. A limo pulled up and whisked Molly, her mom, and her college crew to Kyle’s old apartment complex—the spot where they had first said “I love you.” There, her med school best friends were waiting as the next surprise.

From there, they all headed to the Virgin Hotel for a celebratory drink and a quick dance party warm-up before the grand finale: Cheekwood Botanical Gardens.

At Cheekwood, Molly’s dad was waiting by the limo to walk her down the final stretch to Kyle. Their friend James sang his rendition (which might actually be better than the original) of Ed Sheeran’s First Times while Molly walked down the path to Kyle.

Kyle asked. Molly said yes.

Waiting behind them were both of their families, all of the friends who had been part of the scavenger hunt, and their amazing Nashville crew—ready to celebrate.

They spent the rest of the day galavanting around Nashville (notably, ending up at Santa’s Pub for karaoke), soaking up every perfect, surreal, laughter-filled moment. It was the best day ever.

And that, friends, is how “pretty doctor lady” and a guy who signed his Facebook messages too formally ended up here—ready to say I do.

The end. (Just kidding—this is only the beginning.)
